Cold Steel\u00ae Knife Sharpener Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the ONLY sharpener that will sharpen the proprietary serrations\u00a0on Cold Steel\u00ae brand knives. The special grooved panel exactly\u00a0matches the vertical mini serrations.<\/p>\n

For Sharpening Serrations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1 –<\/strong> Grip the sharpener firmly by the Guide Guard on one end using your dominant hand.<\/p>\n

Step 2 –<\/strong>\u00a0Holding the knife firmly with the other hand (with the edge facing away from you!) bring the corner of the sharpener to the serration.<\/p>\n

Step 3 –<\/strong>\u00a0While maintaining a consistent angle and with even pressure, gently push, while using a rolling motion to sweep the sharpener\u2019s corner from one side of the serration or scallop to the other. A single stroke will remove any burrs on the reverse side of your blade.<\/p>\n

For Sharpening a Plain Edge:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1 –<\/strong> Place the thumb on one Guide Guard and the tip of the second or third finger of the same hand on the other guide guard.<\/p>\n

Step 2 –<\/strong> Place the blade\u2019s edge against the flat side of the sharpener.\u00a0 While maintaining a consistent angle and with even pressure gently push the entire edge across the sharpener in a single stroke, much like attempting to slice a thin layer off the side.<\/p>\n

Step 3 –<\/strong> Stroke 3-5 times and repeat this on the reverse side of the blade.<\/p>\n

Step 4 –<\/strong> Continue this process until the blade is sharp.<\/p>\n

For Sharpening Mini Serrations:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Step 1 –<\/strong> Place the thumb on one Guide Guard and the tip of the second or third finger of the same hand on the other guide guard<\/p>\n

Step 2 –<\/strong> Line up the mini serrations on your Cold Steel blade with the specialty groove panel on the sharpener.<\/p>\n

Step 3 –<\/strong> While maintaining a consistent angle and with even pressure, gently push the mini serrations into the sharpener\u2019s grooves.<\/p>\n

Step 4 –<\/strong> Repeat 3-4 times. \u00a0A single stroke will remove any burrs on the reverse side of your blade.<\/p>\n

Cleaning Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

When the alumina ceramic sharpening rod becomes dark with metal particles from the sharpening process, use the\u00a0Lansky^{\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0EraserBlock\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>\u00a0or household cleanser. The alumina ceramic sharpening rod will never wear out.<\/p>\n}
